Installation Guide (Marketplace)

4.1 Prerequisites

  • Active BigCommerce store

  • Admin access to install apps and manage scripts

  • Optional GA4 property

4.2 Installing from Marketplace

  1. Go to Apps → Marketplace.

  2. Search for “TagSync - UTM Tracker into Orders”.

  3. Click Install.

  4. Review the requested permissions.

  5. Confirm installation.

Note: Installation typically completes within a few seconds.

4.3 Initial Configuration

  1. Install the tracking script per storefront.

  2. Configure GA4 if desired.

  3. Place a test order.

✓ Configuration changes apply immediately.

4.4 Post-Installation Validation

  • App appears under My Apps

  • Script shows Installed

  • Test order shows UTM data

  • GA4 events appear if enabled

If any step fails, revisit the Settings page and reinstall the storefront script.

4.5 Uninstallation

  • Uninstall via Apps → My Apps

  • BigCommerce automatically revokes API tokens

  • Tracking scripts are removed automatically

  • Existing order metafields remain unchanged

⚠ Important: Uninstalling the app does not delete historical attribution data.
